🚩 Why is Tuesday considered auspicious for Hanuman worship?

Lord Hanuman is the embodiment of these virtues. Worshipping him on Tuesdays is believed to remove troubles and grant unwavering courage and confidence to devotees.

🚩 Why is Hanuman known as "Sankat Mochan" (Remover of Troubles)?

During the Lanka war, Hanuman’s Sankat Mochan form was revealed when Lakshman was rendered unconscious by Meghnad’s Brahmastra. Lord Rama was devastated, and the entire Vanara army felt helpless. At this critical juncture, Hanuman displayed immense courage and rushed to Dronagiri mountain in search of the Sanjeevani herb.
Ravana tried to obstruct him by sending the demon Kalnemi disguised as a Brahmin. Using deception, Kalnemi tried to mislead Hanuman, but Hanuman recognized the trick and defeated him.
Unable to identify the right herb, Hanuman carried the entire mountain and brought Lakshman back to life. His dedication, strength, and wisdom turned the tide of the war and brought hope to Lord Rama. Hence, he is called Sankat Mochan—one who has the divine power to eliminate all adversities through devotion and bravery.

Located in Ujjain, the city of Mahakal, the Mayapati Hanuman Temple is dedicated to Lord Hanuman in his "Mayapati" form. According to Ramayana, during the Lanka war, when Lakshman was struck down and Hanuman crossed the sea to retrieve the Sanjeevani herb, Ravana sent the demon Kalnemi to deceive him. Kalnemi, a master of illusion, disguised himself as a Brahmin and began chanting Rama’s name to mislead Hanuman.
But Hanuman recognized the illusion and defeated him.

Pleased by his valor, all gods blessed Hanuman and declared that from then on, he would also be worshipped as Mayapati.
At this temple, Hanuman’s idol is south-facing, and it is believed that worshipping here relieves devotees of all distress. Tuesdays and Saturdays are especially auspicious for Hanuman worship at this temple. Devotees who pray here receive blessings from the valiant hero, Lord Hanuman.
