The worship method of the Panch Devta is called Panchayatana Puja, a practice in the Smarta tradition. This method involves the worship of five deities, each representing one of the five elements (Panch Tattvas). These deities are: Lord Ganesha, Goddess Durga, Lord Shiva, Lord Vishnu, the protector of the universe, and the Sun God, Surya Narayan. Lord Ganesh represents the water element, Lord Shiva represents the earth element, Lord Vishnu represents the air element, Surya Dev represents the sky element, and Goddess Durga represents the fire element. These five deities are considered essential, and without their worship, no auspicious work or spiritual practice is considered complete. In Hinduism, Wednesday is dedicated to Lord Ganesh, the deity who symbolises good fortune, prosperity, and wisdom. Worshipping Lord Ganesha on this day brings blessings that enhance both material success and intellectual growth. Lord Ganesha is revered as Vighnaharta (the remover of obstacles), Sukhkarta (the giver of joy), and Dukhharta (the eliminator of sorrow).
His divine blessings are said to pave the way for prosperity and wisdom in the lives of his devotees. One of the most revered prayers dedicated to Lord Ganesha is the Rin Nashak Ganesh Stotra, a powerful chant believed to have the ability to eliminate debts and resolve financial difficulties. Recitation of this powerful stotra not only clears financial burdens but also promotes peace of mind and attracts prosperity. The Stotra helps in creating a positive environment, ensuring long-term relief from monetary problems and opening the doors to success and abundance. Additionally, according to religious beliefs, Lord Ganesha has a special fondness for Durva (a type of grass). It is said that offering Durva to Lord Ganesha invokes his blessings of wisdom and knowledge. Lord Ganesha, known for his deep wisdom, is pleased by the offering of Durva, which is said to enhance intellectual clarity, insight, and the ability to make wise decisions. By chanting the 1008 names of Lord Ganesha and offering Durva with each name, devotees seek to deepen their understanding and gain the wisdom to navigate life’s challenges successfully. Therefore, on Wednesday, Rin Nashak Ganesh Stotra Path and 1008 Ganesh Durva Archana will be organised at the Chintamani Ganesh Temple in Kashi.
